Based at Bewick House, Norwich, NR1 1RY/ with flexible working from home
arrangements possible.
6-months fixed term contract, full-time
Salary: £22,000 – £25,000 per annum (depending on experience and grade)

Norfolk Wildlife Services is a professional, experienced and dedicated team offering a
comprehensive range of ecological and arboricultural consultancy services. All our profits are
donated to our ‘parent’ charity, Norfolk Wildlife Trust for the benefit of nature conservation
in Norfolk.

Our focus is on providing high quality ecological expertise to ensure our client’s projects
move forward while ensuring protection and benefits for wildlife.

The successful candidate will complete ecological fieldwork, primarily for bat emergence
surveys, other protected species and habitat surveys. We have a strong local client base and
pride ourselves on working on sites predominantly in Norfolk.

You will organise and give ecological and administrative support to consultancy projects, e.g.
review Night Vision Aid footage and bat spectrogram data, charge and maintain survey equipment,
landowner liaison arranging access, assisting with quotes and tenders. You may also provide
expertise or assistance with IT and GIS, e.g. databases, spreadsheets, mapping, etc., to
support other ecologists in the team to carry out projects.

The successful candidate should be able to commence employment as soon as possible after an
offer of employment is made.
