Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced part-time seasonal adventure guide to lead our clients on exciting outdoor activities including biking (gravel biking, mountain biking, and greenway biking) kayaking, hiking, and stand-up paddle boarding. This position runs from Spring-Fall 2025. The ideal candidate should have a passion for the outdoors, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to provide a safe and enjoyable experience for our clients. The candidate should also be a self starter that’s excited about being a part of a small business. 

Note: This job is full time and requires weekend availability. Weekdays worked are negotiable as long as the candidate is available to work weekends.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Execute outdoor adventure activities for clients of all ages and skill levels
  • Ensure the safety of all participants during activities by following all safety protocols and procedures
  • Provide guidance and leadership to clients during activities, including teaching necessary skills and techniques
  • Assist in the maintenance and upkeep of equipment used during activities
  • Provide excellent customer service and ensure clients have an enjoyable experience
  • Communicate e ectively with clients to ensure their needs are met and their questions are answered
  • Actively participate in ongoing training and development to enhance skills and knowledge
  • Drive a 12-15 passenger van and sometimes pull an equipment trailer
  • Assist with customer service and rental shifts when there aren’t adventure experiences booked

  • Experience leading outdoor adventure activities
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions in high-pressure situations
  • Ability to adapt, respond, and reallocate resources in a changing environment
  • Ability to participate in outdoor activities for extended periods
  • Proficient in biking and bike mechanics
  • Proficient in paddling sports with the ability to guide clients on class II water

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current CPR certification (or open to obtaining)
  • Current Wilderness First Aid certification (or open to obtaining)
  • Ability to regularly work weekends
