Summary of Position:
This position will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of the facilities and grounds of Teatown. Must be flexible, as the daily requirements may change as needs arise. Should be well organized and a team player. Ability to lift 50 lbs. Clean driving record.
Pay: $20/hour
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work with land stewards on maintaining trails, meadows, and campus grounds through regular mowing, hedging, weed whacking and trimming.
- Work with facilities team on landscaping and maintenance of residential properties.
- Work with facilities team on general maintenance of buildings including janitorial, custodial, and porter services.
- And other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of appropriate work experience.
- Experience with using landscaping equipment such as weedwhacker, hedge trimmer and lawn mower.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as in groups.
This is a seasonal position with a regular work week of Monday-Friday, 7 hours a day, with weekend and evening work required on occasion. Position runs from June 2026 – October 2026.
