KEY AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY
Habitat Management and Restoration
The key role includes the successful execution of hands-on ecological restoration activities on managed DCLT lands. This work comprises approximately 90% field effort and requires physical labor. The remaining 10% is allocated for logistics, maintenance, and administrative support.
- Hands-on restoration task in the field, primary focusing on invasive species removal (manual, mechanical, and chemical treatment) and native habitat enhancement.
- Implement approved ecological restoration plans, including tasks related to grassland establishment.
- Operate and maintain a variety of tools and equipment, including chainsaws, brush cutters, and tools, and potentially utility vehicles (UTVs).
- Accurately collect, record, and organize field data, including GPS points, photo documentation, and progress reports related to specific grant deliverables and Land Trust goals.
