Specific Duties and responsibilities
Explosives Stores Management
• Follows MAG’s policies and systems for storage, inventory, asset control, distribution, and receipt of all explosives at the Sector stores.
• Maintains inventory and monitors re-supply levels of consumable items.
• Coordinates with TFM’s, Field Teams and Sector Logistics staff to ensure the regular re-supply of consumable stock items; supports planning for changes in demand.
• Drafts weekly and monthly Store reports and submits them to STM.
• Ensures that all stores related paperwork is processed and signed by authorized personnel.
• Supports Sector Logistics staff in the update and maintenance of the Asset Register.
• Ensures that destroyed, lost or disposed of items are recorded in the Asset Register.
• Maintains all MAG assets in locations that mitigate damage, humidity and water ingress.
• Cooperates with staff who are tasked with checking operational assets/equipment availability and serviceability.
• Submits requests for casual labor for one-off assignments, such as unloading/moving items.
• Informs the Sector Manager and Sector Logistic staff through STM about any problems with the store or items therein.
Explosives Management
• Manages Explosive stocks at the Sector-level in full compliance with MAG standard operating procedures and safety standards.
• Keeps explosive record sheets updated daily, weekly and monthly.
• Maintains explosive records, both hard copy and soft (in computerized logistical filing systems), to include explosives/accessories held in the store and by operational teams.
• Informs the Sector Manager and TFM that sufficient amounts of explosive and accessories required for operations are in stock, and takes actions to ensure excess stocks are transferred to the central explosive store.
• Keeps the explosives store clean and tidy, with boxes locked, items classified and held in containers made for this purpose.
• Maintains safety equipment and ensures it remains functional.
• Transfers explosive and accessories to/from the central store, working with relevant Sector and EHO staff to ensure correct paperwork from Asaish is prepared and approved.

Safeguarding:
•Works in compliance with MAG’s Safeguarding framework – Policy on Personal Conduct, Protection of Children and Vulnerable Adults Policy, Dignity at Work Policy, Reporting Malpractice (Whistleblowing) Policy, Equal Opportunities Policy and Policy on Modern Slavery
•Reports any Safeguarding concerns in accordance with MAG’s reporting options and guidelines
General Responsibilities:
•Works within the framework of MAG’s core values
•Acts as an ambassador for MAG
•Contributes to other fundraising initiatives where appropriate.
•Participates in meetings where relevant.
•Works in compliance with all MAG’s Policies
•Undertakes and apply learning from appropriate training and development programmes.
•Undertakes any other duties as may be required.

Qualifications & Preferred Skills

Person selection criteria:
The post holder should be able to demonstrate the following attributes:

• EOD Level 3 qualification is one of the key requirement for explosives store management.
• An understanding of NGOs and a commitment to humanitarian work.
• Must have completed the ‘Explosives store person’s course’ and be certified to MAG standards.
• Previous experience managing inventory and stock records.
