Security Operations AnalystHybrid working/CumbernauldNine Twenty are partnering with a renowned family ran business here in Scotland, who are actively seeking a Security Operations Analyst to join their team based in Cumbernauld. This is a vital position in the team and the role demands a strong understanding of cybersecurity threats, the ability to analyse security data, and the skills to respond effectively to security incidents. You will be also be required to:
- Monitor cybersecurity platforms and tools continuously
- Identify and investigate cybersecurity threats
- Triage alerts and take containment actions as needed
- Protect IT systems and digital assets
- Require strong understanding of cybersecurity threats
- Analyse security data effectively

Responsibilities:
- Excel in mastering the Salesforce platform, tailoring it to suit the evolving demands of our organisation.
- Your expertise will play a pivotal role in streamlining workflows and unlocking the platform’s full potential.
- Assume the role of the primary resource for Salesforce inquiries.
- Deliver hands-on assistance to users, resolve issues promptly, and conduct training sessions to ensure comprehensive utilization of Salesforce across the board.
- Lead efforts to uphold data accuracy and integrity within Salesforce.
- Develop and execute strategies for data cleansing, migration, and continuous quality assurance.
- Spearhead the implementation of automation processes to enhance efficiency.
- Collaborate closely with IT and other teams to seamlessly integrate Salesforce with other business systems.
- Craft compelling reports and dashboards that empower stakeholders with real-time information crucial for informed decision-making.
- Assume responsibility for safeguarding data security and compliance within the Salesforce environment.
- Implement and reinforce best practices to protect sensitive information effectively.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Continuous Security Monitoring: Monitor security alerts and events for potential threats, utilizing security information and XDR platform for real-time detection.
- Incident Triage: Evaluate and prioritize alerts based on severity, distinguishing false positives and escalating genuine threats.
- Incident Response: Act promptly to contain and mitigate incidents, documenting details and collaborating with cross-functional teams for resolution.
- Threat Intelligence: Stay updated on cybersecurity threats, analysing intelligence data to enhance proactive measures.
- Security Reporting: Generate reports on incidents, trends, and vulnerabilities, maintaining accurate records.
- Vulnerability Assessment: Conduct regular assessments to identify infrastructure and application weaknesses.
- 24×7 Incident Response Support: Provide around-the-clock support for cybersecurity incidents, including out-of-hours assistance on a rotational basis.
