About the Laboratory

The State Key Laboratory of Optoelectronic Materials and Devices at the Institute of Semiconductors (IOS), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), is a leading research center in China dedicated to advanced research in semiconductor optoelectronic materials, devices, and photonic integrated circuits. We are currently seeking distinguished candidates for academic positions at various levels to join our laboratory.

The laboratory is equipped with a comprehensive research and development system for both III-V and silicon-based semiconductors, including state-of-the-art facilities for single-crystal growth of III-V wafers, material epitaxy, micro- and nano-fabrication processes, advanced packaging and testing, and system-level applications. With a strong commitment to innovation and collaboration, we aim to push the boundaries of optoelectronic technologies and contribute to global advancements in the field, promoting interdisciplinary partnerships between academia and industry.

Position Details

I. 2025 Excellent Young Scientists Fund Program (Overseas)

II. Full Professors

• Applicants must have a Ph.D. in a relevant field and demonstrate an exceptional track record of research excellence.
• Candidates should possess extensive research experience from renowned overseas or domestic universities, research institutes, or leading industries, along with a proven history of academic leadership or significant scholarly achievements.
• A robust publication record and the ability to secure external research funding are essential.
• Leadership experience in industrial projects, senior roles in top-tier companies, or a proven ability to bridge academic research with practical applications is highly desirable.

III. Associate Professors

• Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in a relevant field and have a distinguished track record of research excellence.
• Candidates should exhibit the potential for academic leadership and a commitment to innovative research environment.
• A strong publication record, experience in securing research funding, as well as the ability to contribute to the development of academic programs, are expected.
• Experience in leading industrial projects, senior roles in well-known companies, or a demonstrated ability to translate academic research with practical applications will be favorably considered.

IV. Assistant Professors

• Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in a relevant field and demonstrate potential in research.
• Candidates should have postdoctoral experience or equivalent qualifications, along with the ability to develop an independent and innovative research program.

V. Postdoctoral Associate

• Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in a relevant field and have recently completed their doctoral studies.
• Candidates should possess a strong research background with a record of publications in peer-reviewed journals.
• A commitment to academic integrity and a willingness to mentor students are essential.
