Our client is a leading design and manufacturing specialist in retail and brand environments.With a strong heritage and a reputation for innovation and delivery, they offer bespoke solutions across displays, fixtures and point-of-sale, for some of the world’s most recognisable brands and retailers.They are seeking a Senior Account Director, to lead a sector of the business with full autonomy. The successful candidate will drive growth by managing key customer relationships, mentoring account teams, and developing strategic plans to expand accounts and increase profitability. This senior leadership role will also involve supporting business development initiatives, holding P&L responsibility, and ensuring best-in-class project delivery.The ideal candidate will be a commercially astute, dynamic leader. Paired with a proven track record in client services or sales management, ideally in retail manufacturing or creative production environments.Job RoleLead and grow a business sector with full ownership of strategic accounts and revenue goalsOversee account teams, driving performance, development and customer excellenceCreate and execute account growth strategies, including new business developmentHold P&L accountability for a business unit (target: £3m+ annual turnover)Maintain and develop high-value client relationships, ensuring long-term partnershipsRepresent the business in client meetings, tenders, and presentations with authority and professionalismCollaborate cross-functionally with internal teams (design, estimating, production, logistics)Drive continuous improvement across processes, systems, and margin optimisationCoach, manage and evaluate team members, including conducting appraisals and performance managementSkills and ExperienceStrategic account and business developmentCommercial acumen and P&L managementLeadership and team management across multiple disciplinesStrong communication and stakeholder engagementTendering, quoting, and pricing strategyProject oversight from concept to deliveryUnderstanding of manufacturing, materials, and finishesERP systems knowledge and process improvementPresentation and negotiation skillsKnowledge of the retail, display or POS industry
