The role of the Trident University International (Trident) Senior Account Manager is to act as a liaison between the university and prospective/current student population(s) and to facilitate processes to further assist students in achieving their academic goals.

 

Senior Account Manager serves as the point of contact for Education Service Offices, Trident Students and Alumni, as well as other key constituents within designated regions (multiple states). The Senior Account Manager will be the face of Trident across the United States and will provide professional, supportive, and dependable service to education offices and prospective/current students as well as anytime, anywhere, educational opportunities to service members, veterans, their families, as well as DOD, Federal, State, organization partners and Local Government employees. The Senior Account Manager will also provide competent, efficient, and productive services to Trident.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Represent the university with the utmost professionalism, establishing and fostering positive professional relationships with base education offices, key decision makers and leaders, and current and prospective students, including those within the Department of Defense, Veterans Administration, individual service branches.
  • Manage relations with multiple states military contacts which includes ESOs, ESSs, Education Counselors, Veteran Organizations, government agencies, etc.
  • Understand the university’s policies/guidance as it relates to safeguarding of student privacy and educational records consistent with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).
  • I n compliance with applicable rules and regulations, coordinate with Installation Education Services Officer (ESO) or duly appointed authority to establish recurring visits/meetings on campuses/installations to ensure student populations are afforded the opportunity to discuss/address academic items/issues of interest (in person or in group(s).
  •   Disseminate university guidance and provide sound rationale for institutional policies, procedures and associated requirements as directly related to impacting student populations.
  • Inform and, as necessary, refer students to other university specialized staff, department/resources when academic, or other sensitive student issues arise that require involvement/intervention by other departments (e.g., Student Services, Finance, Academics, Registrar, etc.).
  • Represent TUI through outreach efforts by:

o   Holding regular office hours to provide support services to current students

o   Attending education fairs and other recruiting events

    • Briefing education office staff on TUI programs and offerings
    • Ensuring that TUI materials are consistently replenished

o   Overseeing remote on-base/site programs and events

o   Collaborate with marketing on advertising in base papers and through other available means

    • Hosting events that support various groups on TUI’s behalf (i.e. coffee chats for spouses of deployed service members, veteran transition luncheon, etc.), and ensure their successful execution
  •   Support the vision, structure and strategy for all military and veteran outreach and partnership programs at Trident.
  • Assist with the alumni Association program by identifying volunteers from the University’s alumni base in order to: establish Alumni Chapters, represent TUI, identify prospective students, and attend a wide variety of university events.
  •   Manage student database for region:

o   Monitor retention quarterly and annually

o   Track results through data analysis

  •   Engage in professional development activities/functions, including but not limited to memberships in professional organizations, attendance at conferences, workshops, symposiums, and training sessions.
  • Participate in institutional student development, persistence, and retention programs.
  • Serve as resource for faculty/staff and advocate for student populations.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (MINIMUM):

  • Bachelor’s Degree

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (PREFERRED)

  • MBA
  • Minimum of five years of experience working with corporate, government and/or military outreach, higher education partnerships.
  • Veteran of the US Armed Forces

  • Possess an understanding of military population and familiarity with Distance Learning (on –line) and Adult Education
  • Ability to be hands-on, decisive and confident; yet can be immersed in the details while not losing sight of the big picture
  • Ability to work with a sense of urgency 
  • Ability to be committed to the university’s mission and passionate about education
  • Possess an understanding of military community and voluntary education
