This position is a Grade: 8-37.5 with an approximate salary range of $42,650-$51,190 and is subject to change based on experience, skills and qualifications

1. Perform tax and other audit functions of the commercial card expense reporting system
* Perform monthly audits of University’s One Card program as directed by supervisor including the business purpose audit and random receipt or other audits. Scan documentation supporting compliance with audit into the commercial card system
*Contact One Card users and approvers to resolve questions and educate the user community regarding IRS requirements and University business policy
*Perform analytical review of one card use. Resolve issues according to policy and escalate complex issues to supervisor
*Work closely with Business Services to ensure that one card audit recommendations are well implemented and strong internal controls are maintained
*Make recommendations for improvements to the One Card policies and procedures
*Other one card duties as assigned

2. Responsible for the annual preparation, issuance and maintenance of the IRS Forms 1099
*Work closely with Accounts Payable to ensure that 1099 information is properly tracked and maintained in Banner
*Issue IRS Forms 1099 to all appropriate parties according to IRS guidelines and deadlines
*Serve as primary point of contact to respond to questions regarding IRS Form 1099

3. Perform accounting, tax and other administrative functions
*Make PA vendor withholding payments and prepare quarterly and annual returns
*Assist supervisor in the accomplishment of other projects as needed
*Provide back-up support for miscellaneous tax form preparation
*Other duties as assigned by supervisor

4. Cross train with A/P Supervisor and Shared Services Supervisor
*Provide fill-in support for AP supervisor including vendor create process as required during staff absences
*Various upload entries from campus users on weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis
*Support A/P with diagnostics or other duties as necessary
*Ensure continuity of critical functions during vacation or other absences
*Shared Services cross training includes:
*Review and prepare daily Online Reallocation process
*Analyze transactions and prepare correcting entries when needed
*Accounting data entry and diagnostic review
*Establish and process Banner Finance Access inquiries
*Maintain index – attribute maintenance
*Provide campus user support

5. Other duties as assigned by Supervisor and/or Controller

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience; Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field preferred

Three to five years of related work experience

You adapt well to a fast-paced environment, embrace change with much flexibility

Strong organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

Demonstrated skills and capabilities in analytical and critical thinking and problem solving

Successful completion of standard background checks including but not limited to: social security verification, education verification, national criminal background checks, motor vehicle checks, PATCH, FBI fingerprinting, Child Abuse Clearance and credit history based upon the requirements of the position
