ABOUT THE ROLE
You will provide support in the management of the Community by providing expertise and implementation in a wide variety of financial and administrative functions.
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU NEED:
- Demonstrated ability to provide efficient administration and financial support.
- Proven ability to maintain organisational documents with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent planning and time management skills with an ability to manage competing priorities within the broader community and be able to provide practical hands on and diverse administrative and financial experience.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment with proven people skills and able to work unsupervised when required.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
- Sound knowledge of Workplace Health & Safety policy within the broader work environment.
- Current manual C Class driver’s licence
IT WOULD BE DESIRABLE IF YOU ALSO POSSESSED:
- Previous experience living and/or working in remote Australian First Nations’ communities.
- Demonstrated high level of cross-cultural awareness to ensure effective participation in a multi-cultural workplace.
- Awareness of issues affecting First Nations People in Australia
The preferred applicant must be prepared to travel and work for short periods in remote communities by various means including boat and light aircraft.
The preferred applicant will be required to undergo a Criminal History Check and obtain a Working with Children Clearance. Criminal history will not exclude an applicant unless it is relevant to the position.

WHAT YOU’LL GET IN RETURN
A full-time permanent employment receiving a base salary of $70,893.91 before superannuation contributions and locality allowance. You will also benefit from 6 weeks of annual leave with 17.5% leave loading.
