Context/Reporting line:

Under the general guidance of the Head, Transition and Recovery Division, the overall supervision of the Program Coordinator, the administrative supervision of the Head of Sub Office (HoSO) and the direct supervision of the TRD Team Leader , the incumbent will perform following duties:

Core Functions / Responsibilities

  1. Monitor activity delivery according to Community Resource Center (CRC) Standard Operating Procedures and Terms of Reference.
  2. Coordinate the day-to-day operations in and around the CRC.
  3. Support and supervise field assessment teams and focal points.
  4. Maintain liaison and coordination with center partners and local authorities based on Steering Committee recommendations.
  5. Report information on needs raised at the center level to contribute to the development of information materials and information sharing activities.
  6. Monitor and report on the accomplishment of the workplan, potential gaps and delays to the Team Leader and Project Officer.
  7. Review financial and procurement documents and maintain a filing system for administrative documents.
  8. Assist the project officer and M&E in preparation of qualitative and quantitative reports and preparation of recommendations.
  9. Communicate and liaise with sub-offices and report to the Project manager.
  10. Ensure weekly reporting on activities, progress, and recommendations to the Team leader and Project Officer.
  11. Perform such other duties as may be assigned by the Team leader and Project Coordinator.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Required Qualifications

 

Education:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in development studies, international relations, political science, or other relevant

field from an accredited academic university or institute

Experience and Skills:

  • At least 4 years of work experience in managing and coordinating a community center or working in community engagement or civic engagement mobilization.
  • Experience in communicating and working with a wide range of actors, including people of culturally diverse backgrounds, government and authorities, humanitarian actors (UN agencies and NGOs).
  • Experience working in development or humanitarian programming (specifically in International or National NGO/UN) is an asset.
  • Experience in project coordination is an asset.
  • High level of computer literacy with specific proficiency in Microsoft applications.
  • Reliable, efficiency, high level of professionalism, organizational skills, and ability to work under pressure and adhere to strict deadlines.
  • Good analytical skills for financial data, strong sense of details and accuracy.
  • Ability to prepare clear and concise reports.
  • Ability and motivation to travel to communities within governorate on a daily is a must.

 

Languages:

  • Fluency in English and Arabic is required.
  • Working Knowledge of any other language is an asset.

IOM has a policy of zero tolerance of sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) by IOM staff members and the employees or any other persons engaged and controlled by IOM Contractors. The staff members and all contract type holders shall protect against and prevent sexual exploitation and abuse (PSEA).
