Senior Administrative Program Coordinator SPHTM Academic Affairs

Location:  New Orleans, LA
Summary
The incumbent in the Senior Administrative Program Coordinator. SPHTM. Academic Affairs position coordinates initiatives of the SPHTM Office of Academic Affairs reporting to the Sr. Associate Dean (SADAA). Coordinates activities of the Curriculum Committee and other school committees and maintains records for reference by multiple groups. Manages course scheduling for the school and enters courses into Banner and validates instructors. Manages classrooms and classroom scheduling. Ensures Academic Affairs information on website and intranet are current and accessible. Maintains the SADAA calendar, books meetings, and organizes meetings and events. Works as part of a team providing support where needed for the SPHTM Dean’s Office.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Demonstrate proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook (both email electronic mail and meeting scheduling functions), and PowerPoint.
• Demonstrate strong communication and organizational skills.
• Demonstrate ability to interact well with diverse groups of people. 
• Demonstrate sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, ethnic, and disability backgrounds of students and employees.
• Demonstrate experience excelling in a highly collaborative team environment
• Demonstrate ability to handle multiple tasks and work well under pressure.
• Demonstrate ability to work independently, meet deadlines, establish priorities, make decisions.
• Demonstrate proven track record of detail orientation and follow-through. 
• Demonstrate ability and willingness to adjust quickly to change.
Required Education and/or Experience
• Bachelor’s degree and one year of related experience 
• OR
• High school diploma/equivalent and five years of related experience
Preferred Qualifications
• Master’s degree
• Experience in an academic setting
• Experience with academic management systems, course scheduling, accreditation processes and record keeping, and curriculum review processes and systems.
Compensation Information
