POLITICO is looking for an entrepreneurial, results-oriented salesperson to join our dynamic and growing Advertising Sales team based in Brussels. POLITICO is a pioneering and growing media company that covers the politics, policy, and personalities of global political influencers.

Role & Responsibilities

The Senior Advertising & Strategic Partnerships Manager or Account Director position is a sales position with the primary objective of overseeing assigned account relationships and responsibilities headquartered in Europe.

We seek an experienced, self-starter who works proactively to achieve business objectives while maintaining a culture of collaboration, development, and achievement.

The successful candidate will have a good understanding of account handling, a confident communicator both internally and externally to clients and agencies, and a thorough understanding of public affairs and corporate communications.

This is a critical role for the European team, you will be part of a dynamic team tasked with expanding the European market while working within a global sales team.

 

Qualifications

  • Have worked in a sales role for an international media brand;
  • Be a seasoned sales professional with experience working with multinational organizations on paid media campaigns globally;
  • Have experience in key account management, working with clients on a day-to-day basis to understand their business challenges;
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the client’s business and lead strategic advice across teams;
  • Be a collaborator, open to working with teams across departments and geographies to deliver the best possible solution to meet client needs;
  • Have a network of contacts across brands and media agencies in Europe, developing those relationships to help achieve POLITICO’s commercial objectives;
  • Keep updated on competitive trends within assigned industries;
  • Scan the market and develop strategies to acquire new accounts;
  • Drive innovation and fresh thinking;
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities to achieve sales results;
  • Conceptualize, prepare, and deliver sales presentations;
  • Embody the successful brand presence of POLITICO in the market, represent POLITICO at member briefings, network events and industry conferences;
  • Thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
