The team are big believers in breaking down barriers and working collaboratively to achieve best outcomes that really matter.

The exciting role of Senior AOD Clinician will work within a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team to provide high quality specialised AOD interventions, assessment, and treatment planning through an intersectional and trauma-informed lens. In addition, you’ll play a vital role in shifting the landscape of service provision by supporting the integration of AOD and Mental Health within the service and supporting a strong lived experience workforce.

What’s on offer

In addition to a base salary commencing at $49.28 p/hr + superannuation, you will have access to:

About you

You will have a relevant qualification/s in health and/or welfare tertiary qualification, such as Family Therapy, Social Work, Psychology, Nursing or Allied Health Sciences as well as a Certificate IV in AOD or have completed the core competencies (or able to complete within the first 24 months of employment.

You will also bring:

  • Competencies in dual diagnosis (or able to complete within the first 24 months of employment).
  • Demonstrated understanding of community-based interventions for reducing alcohol and drug related harm. 
  • Proven ability to work with a range of people and organisations (including specific work groups such as Aboriginal, CALD and Forensic clients). 
  • Significant experience in AOD, a strong understanding of therapeutic AOD and Mental Health interventions, and a proven ability to work with a wide range of people and organisations.
