Senior Application Developer (Institute for Biomedical Informatics)

• Lead the design and implementation of SQL and other database architectures to support a large number of functions for a national organ/specimen bank transaction system
• Lead the software development team to implement the solutions, test the software to ensure that they are robust, scalable and reproducible.
• Working closely with the Amazon Web Services team at Penn ISC, develop and maintain robust and secure cloud-based data architectures.
• Supervise the development of data and process models, information system metadata, user manuals, and regulatory documentation.
• Represent the information system team in collaborating with a large research team outside of Penn in weekly meetings and national diabetes and other research and disease advocacy organizations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science and 3 to 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Masters preferred.
