To achieve green growth in Indonesia, GGGI provides technical assistance, support, and facilitation to the Green Growth Program (GGP) implemented by the Government of Indonesia -GGGI. This includes stakeholder coordination, arranging meetings, training, workshops, and other forms of collaboration, as well as planning and implementation processes. The Senior Assistant for Renewable Energy will be part of the energy team at GGGI Indonesia to implement the project ‘Renewable Energy – Accelerated Transition in Indonesia (RE-ACT)’. The RE-ACT project aims to support a faster growing contribution from renewable energy towards Indonesia’s energy mix and a higher ambition on Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs).
The Senior Assistant will provide operational and administrative support with a focus on renewable energy policies, rural electrification, capacity development (e.g., RUED workshops, training implementation, etc.), and renewable energy financing instruments, such as project funding options and de-risking instruments. The Senior Assistant will also support the GGGI Indonesia team in general with information management and desk research, arranging itineraries, filing documents, documenting processes, taking meeting notes, and liaising with relevant government partners.
- Gather and summarize technical knowledge to help deliver a portfolio of analytical services focused on a coherent, evidence-based policy and regulatory reform process to accelerate investments in renewable energy, rural electrification, adoption of competitive renewable energy funding, and financial de-risking instruments.
- Manage and maintain an efficient and complete filing system, database, and documentation related to activities, training, and events, as well as preparation and filing of minutes of meetings.
- Support the coordination and liaison with Government counterparts, government task forces, other partner agencies, our pool of experts, and other stakeholders.
- Support the organization of events, including developing TOR, budget estimations, documentation, and calendars.
- Work as part of GGGI’s operations team and ensure full compliance with GGGI’s regulations, rules, and procedures to support project implementation.
- Collect monthly reports from output leads and file the reports in the GGGI system.
Engagement:
- Inform Project Manager on the status of project delivery, highlighting issues of resource management and delivery schedule.
- Maintain good and close relationships and communicate project activities with government task forces, experts, and other GGGI stakeholders
- Work closely with the Project Manager or Senior Officer to provide high-quality support to program and project activities.
- Interact closely with GGP team members to ensure adherence to operating protocols and service delivery
Delivery:
- Develop project activities and monitor project implementation and processes.
- Organize meetings, workshops, and other events with key stakeholders and ensure proper documentation.
- Review project activities to ensure accurate and timely reporting of project implementation, supporting effective project management.
- Provide necessary support for internal and external reviews/audits to meet GGGI and donor standards.
- For all aspects of project implementation, advocate for and ensure adherence to GGGI Rules and Guidelines.
- Other tasks as required.
Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, environmental study, policy study, social sciences or commerce disciplines or related fields.
- Preferred at least 2 years of relevant working experience.
- Familiarity with working with government agencies in Indonesia.
- Experience in International Organizations will be an asset.
- Experience in using ERP, supporting projects, and administration will add value.
- Fluent in Indonesian and English.
