Functional Responsibilities

Under the supervision and direction of the Mechanical Engineer, the Senior Associate Electrical Engineer will be responsible to support efficient and effective delivery of engineering related work packages and products. In performing her/his work, the incumbent will promote a client, quality, and results-oriented approach, and will work closely with the Project team members and Support Services Team, as appropriate, to ensure consistent and efficient progress. 

The Senior Associate Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the following activities: 

  • Provide contractor performance monitoring and ensure implementation of the agreed plans, within the set tolerances.
  • Assist in oversight of electrical heating system components, equipment and systems installation and operation.
  • Assist in construction site monitoring and supervision of works to ensure progress and compliance with the technical documentation and relevant codes and standards.
  • Provide engineering technical assistance in all stages of the execution of works.
  • Report and recommend remedial actions regarding potential delays and/or cost overruns.
  • Contribute to identification and assessment of risks and implement risk responses in accordance with the Risk Management Strategy and agreed responses.
  • Contribute to preparation of Project reports, as envisaged by the Project Agreement.Prepare site inspection brief notes for archive related to engineering work packages established and maintained by the Project.
  • Perform other duties as may be reasonably required and in line with the incumbent’s scope of services above.

Education/Experience/Language requirements

Education
  • Secondary school diploma is required.
  • A first-level university degree (Bachelor or equivalent) in the Electrical Engineering field with three (3) years of experience would be an asset and may substitute for additional years of experience.

Work Experience 

  • Seven years of experience in electrical installation for mechanical systems is required.
  • Experience in oversight of mounting electrical installations at construction sites is required.
  • Experience in using AutoCad is highly desirable.
Language Requirements
  • Fluency in Macedonian is required.
  • Intermediate level of English is required.
  • Knowledge of Albanian would be an asset.
