Senior Associate, Social Media

Global Health Strategies (GHS) is seeking a social media professional to advise on fresh strategies and content for our clients in global health and development to increase their visibility and engagement and advise the firm on best-in-class practices.

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who has a proven track record of using social media to generate awareness, engagement, followers and action for an individual, organization or issue.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the production of high-quality written content for high-level GHS client channels, including but not limited to X, LinkedIn, and Instagram
• Manage personal social media accounts for leaders in global health to craft content that aligns with their voice, resonates with their audience and increases engagement and visibility
• Audit client social channels to identify opportunities and gaps
• Develop social media strategies tailored to clients’ needs and upcoming milestones
• Monitor, analyze and report on performance metrics to understand impact across social channels
• Stay up to date on the latest trends and changes in social media and leverage a willingness to experiment with new content, including covering live events
• Collaborate with GHSers to ensure consistent messaging and alignment with clients’ brand identity
• Advise GHS staff on best practices and tactics around writing compelling global health content for social media

Required Qualifications:

• 5-7 years of digital communications experience
• Demonstrated track record in creating compelling social content and boosting reach and engagement; please be prepared to show a portfolio of work with metrics
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong knowledge of X, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram
• Experience with social media management tools and analytic platforms

Valuable Qualifications:

• Global health or public health expertise
• Previous agency experience
