Are you a passionate and driven Lead Automation Tester looking for a new challenge? Then Acorn Technology may have the position for you.

Acorn Technology are working with a leading Public Sector body in Wales to find a Lead Automation Tester to supplement an already talented team. This will give the successful candidate an opportunity to work on innovative greenfield projects whilst initiating a substantial move away from legacy-based systems.

Our client is searching for an enthusiastic and driven individual looking to lead in their career, with a passion for working with technical teams and delivering the best solutions. This will include 1 day a week in the office based in Newport with the majority fully remote.

Main duties:

  • Identify and manage problems, incidents, risks and issues
  • Build automated tests to support our continuous deployment environments using the technology of choice
  • Responsible for test case design and execution of manual test cases
  • Contribute to the design, coding, testing and documentation of small scale to large, complex or mission critical programs
  • Implement toolkits and APIs for purposes such as integration, performance optimisation, security and scalability
  • Responsible for ensuring that the team test and build activities follow agreed governance and processes

Essential Experience:

  • Has been a key player in delivering technical solutions as part of large projects
  • Excellent understanding of a mainstream automation testing framework such as Serenity
  • Experience in web services, REST
  • Experienced with modern delivery models such as Scrum and Agile
  • Advocate of DevOps principles
  • Has a deep understanding of architectural principals such as SOA and Micro-Services
