Then we will look forward to meeting you!Your responsibilitiesUniper’s IT applications in Trading and Selling Energy Commodities are running on Azure and are managed by Uniper IT, our in-house IT function. Our IT applications have a Cloud Architecture with a strong focus on High Availability, but not always covering all IT resiliency dimensions, which is why Uniper is running a dedicated program of work further strengthen its IT Landscape in terms of resiliency.You will join our Düsseldorf team of international Senior IT Solution, Security and Enterprise Architects that guide internal and external development teams in defining and advancing the IT architecture to meet business and IT needs. We want you to further strengthen our resiliency posture. In this role you will be:

• designing cloud architectures that prioritize resilience, incorporating redundancy, failover mechanisms, and other techniques to maximize robustness and minimize recovery times
• evaluating different resiliency patterns and their impact on factors like cost, complexity, and performance
• advancing the monitoring and alerting systems to quickly detect deviations from normal behaviour and initiate recovery actions
• align with out Information Security Architects in protecting Uniper’s IT assets
• collaborating with business stakeholders to discuss business continuity requirements and ensure that the cloud IT architecture meets those requirements
• establish a continuous resilience improvement practise based on operational data like incidents, resolution times, RCAs, cloud cost consumption and evolving business need

Your profile

• Advanced Azure Cloud Architect skills
• Deep understanding of Azure cloud resiliency patterns
• Some Developer Skills are preferred
• Good communication and presentation skills to align with business and IT teams on recommended options and potential trade-offs
• English is our language, German language skills are not required
