Read more hereMAIN DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES, ACCOUNTABILITIES:This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced candidate to lead the tenders, bids and opportunities across the Firm, for a broad range of Clients in both the public and private sector markets. You will manage a x2 Bids Executives and be responsible for leading all day-to-day aspects of an individual bid, client opportunity or large multi-disciplinary frameworks.As a Senior Bids and Pitches manager, we are looking for someone with creativity, a deep client understanding, and value add. You will develop a full understanding of the business and will coordinate submissions that fully utilise wider skillsets such as DE&I, Sustainability, Risk, Finance and BD. This role is a crucial role in the Partnership, supporting our fee earning teams.The Bids team are involved in every aspect of a submission and have an excellent appreciation of what the client needs are and how best to articulate how the firm can provide that.Working alongside Partners and the Marketing and BD teams, this successful candidate will need to be a confident self-starter with a strong and flexible work ethic.This is a dynamic role that includes a diverse set of responsibilities:

  • Overall management of client tenders, bids and pitches, including:
  • Oversight to ensure deliverables and produced within the required timescales
  • Oversight of all inputs.
  • Resourcing the bid-team.
  • Drafting bid responses to support lead Partners.
  • Support the bid team by using existing collateral to draft responses where possible.
  • Quality assurance of bid responses – ensuring tenders are submitted free from errors.
  • Promoting best practice.
  • Spotting and communicating new business / client opportunities through managing tender portals
  • Oversight of evaluation of ITT’s, PQQ’s, OJEUs, RFPs using ‘go/no go’ process.
  • Track, report and analyse bids to improve service delivery.
  • Provide evaluations on key pitches to report on improvements or successes – including assessing finances, unique selling points, skills gaps and client specific requirements.
  • Support in the preparation and rehearsal for tender presentations, providing guidance and coaching.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders in the bid team.
  • Work to establish, maintain and drive a new business pipeline.
  • Manage the bid sign-off and governance process.
  • Manage supplier, sub-contractor and framework relationships where required.
  • Build the profile of the bids team and act as the main point of contact.

Oversight and management of Bids Executives DESIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATION:To qualify for this position, you should have the following skills:

  • Knowledge and experience in successful bid delivery to the Public Sector
  • Knowledge and experience in successful bid delivery to the Private Sector
  • Experience of leading large scale, multi-disciplinary bids.
  • A skilled communicator with the ability to win trust, influence and establish credibility at senior levels.
  • Excellent project management skills, delivers on time and strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent writing, editing and proof-reading skills.
  • Excellent IT skills – PowerPoint, Excel and Word as standard.
  • Commercially minded and a good understand of public sector procurement requirements, legislation and compliance.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, organised and can prioritise tight or conflicting demands: stays calm under pressure.
  • Creative in finding solutions to a client’s problems and able to visualise alternative ways of presenting information.
  • Motivated, diplomatic, a good team player and experienced manager.
