The Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Business Analyst to join our dynamic team at the London Stock Exchange to contribute to the development of our digital products. As a Senior Business Analyst, you will play a crucial role in driving the digital transformation of the LSE, ensuring the delivery of innovative solutions that meet the needs of our clients and stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities

Product Vision and Strategy:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define and refine the vision and strategy for digital products, aligning them with the overall business objectives.
  • Conduct business and data analysis to identify emerging trends and opportunities, ensuring the LSE remains at the forefront of innovation.

Requirements Gathering and Analysis:

  • Elicit and document detailed business requirements, including functional and non-functional specifications, while conducting a thorough analysis of business processes, workflows and data structure to optimize the user experience.
  • Facilitate workshops and interviews to gather insights and perspectives from stakeholders, ensuring all relevant requirements are captured.

Solution Design and Documentation:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, software developers, designers, and quality assurance professionals, to translate business requirements into technical specifications. Providing ongoing support to the development team throughout the implementation phase.
  • Create comprehensive solution design documentation, including user stories, use cases, process flows, and wireframes, to guide the development of the digital product.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including business users, technology teams, and senior management, to understand their needs and priorities. While effectively communicating project progress and gathering feedback on deliverables.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, offering expert guidance and recommendations based on industry best practices and deep understanding of the LSE’s business processes.

Quality Assurance and Testing:

  • Collaborate with quality assurance professionals to define test scenarios and conduct thorough testing, including functional, regression and user acceptance testing, to ensure the digital product meets the highest quality standards.
  • Identify and track defects, working closely with the development team to ensure timely resolution and proper documentation.

Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with a focus on digital products or financial technology.
  • Proven experience in gathering and documenting complex business requirements and translating them into technical specifications.
  • Proficiency in business analysis tools and techniques, such as user stories, process mapping and data modelling
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and propose innovative solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • A strong understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies, and experience working in cross-functional development teams.
