Are you a creative, confident marketer with experience working in a fast-paced environment?Penguin General is looking for a creative, experienced and proactive senior marketing professional to join our award-winning Communications team as Senior Campaigns Manager. Our authors include Michelle Obama, Stanley Tucci, Dolly Alderton, Caleb Azumah Nelson, Sathnam Sanghera, Emma Reed Turrell and Diane Abbott, as well as exciting new names in fiction and non-fiction.The OpportunityReporting to the Communications Director, you will lead, plan and execute the marketing element of integrated and innovative launch campaigns for some of our most high profile and bestselling authors. An expert in every aspect of the current marketing mix, you will work to maintain the award-winning Penguin General Communications team’s position at the cutting edge of creative and sales-driving consumer activity. The successful candidate will be a key voice in our marketing team, bringing their knowledge of the market and prior experience to produce outstanding campaigns.You will build strong working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including authors and their agents, to provide the highest levels of communicative collaboration. You will work alongside a team of experts in a friendly and inclusive environment that values individuality, champions creativity, and celebrates individual and team successes.You can expect to:Create and implement ambitious, strategic marketing campaigns for authors and titles across all the Penguin General imprints, which include Viking, Penguin Life. Fig Tree, Hamish Hamilton and Sandy Cove.Maintain and develop excellent relationships with high-profile and influential stakeholders, such as authors, agents, journalists and global publishing partnersCommunicate and collaborative effectively with internal departments, including sales and marketing, editorial, rights and international colleaguesPlay a key role in the acquisition of new books, providing feedback on the audience, positioning and sales potential, contributing to and attending pitches to acquire new talentLine manage up to two reports dependent on experience, with responsibility for all aspects of those reports’ performance and developmentWhat You’ll BringWe’re looking for someone who has familiarity with a wide variety of marketing channels and enjoys working in a market-leading commercial environment, able to manage multiple deadlines and prioritise with confidence. You’ll have a proven track record of independently producing standout marketing campaigns for bestselling authors.
