Your Opportunity

Our Northern Integrated Family Services (IFS) team provide outreach case management and support services to vulnerable children and families predominantly in the municipalities of Banyule, Nillumbik, Yarra, Darebin and Whittlesea. 

The IFS team work from a feminist framework, as well as Strengths Based Practice, Best Interests Framework and Child and Family Centred Practice. Acknowledging the gendered nature of violence against women and children as well as the social pattern of inequality in which violence and abuse is perpetrated is integral to this role.

As the Senior Case Manager you will assist families to provide case management intervention to children, young people and their families to provide preventative and secondary level support and intervention.

About you

We’re looking for an experienced case manager that can demonstrate the below qualities:

  • Experience working with children, young people and their families.
  • Knowledge of current approaches for working with highly vulnerable children, young people and their families, including strengths based approached for best practice. 
  • Demonstrated understanding of child and adolescent development, factors that may impact on a child’s development and frameworks to engage children, young people and their families. 
  • Bachelor level qualification in Social Work, Welfare or other related discipline.
