Join us to lead our procurement strategy and make a significant impact!About the opportunity:As our Senior Category Manager, you’ll drive category and sourcing strategies, manage suppliers, and ensure cost-effective procurement.Key responsibilities:
- Supplier Management: Select and negotiate with top suppliers, optimize performance.
- Cost Control: Oversee budgets, implement savings strategies.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure high standards and resolve issues.
- Strategic Sourcing: Develop plans to align with business goals and market trends.
- Contract Management: Negotiate and manage supplier contracts.
- Collaboration: Engage stakeholders, support project goals.
- Compliance: Ensure ethical practices and risk management.
Required experience:
- 7+ years in procurement or category management.
- Procurement or category management background in construction, manufacturing, or engineering would be beneficial
- Experience in transport or subcontractor procurement a plus
- Bid life cycle: Extensive experience in handling RFPs and tenders from kick off
- Relevant degree or CIPS qualified
- Strong leadership, communication, and strategic skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and willingness to travel.
- Must hold a valid UK Driving licence
