Your new team:
Forming part of Orygen Specialist Program, a program of the Royal Melbourne Hospital, the Early Psychosis team provides specialist early interventions to young people (and their families/carers) experiencing early psychosis (including young people at ‘ultra-high risk’ of psychosis).
Your new role:
This is a multidisciplinary role and is open to Grade 4 Registered Psychiatric Nurses or Grade 3 Occupational Therapists, Social Workers or Psychologists.
In this role, you will:
- Provide clinical leadership, management, training and supervision of a multidisciplinary team.
- Contribute to a culture of caring, teamwork, continuous improvement, constructive performance review, quality work standards and client service.
- Manage and undertake mental health and risk assessment, psychological treatment, crisis intervention, family work and systems containment.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of community partnerships, developing effective interfaces within streams and programs and facilitating relevant research activities.
- Provide inclusive and sensitive practice to young people and their families/carers from Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander, CALD and LGBTQIA backgrounds.
About you:
- Relevant registration and qualifications.
- Comprehensive experience in clinical practice and provision of mental health assessment, treatment and case management, including with young people in a tertiary mental health service.
- Ability to develop, implement and evaluate client-centred individual service plans, risk assessments and diagnostic formulations.
- Ability to provide leadership and supervision to multidisciplinary team (desirable).
- Ability to participate in policy and service development within the program and in continuous quality improvement through ongoing evaluation of services.
