About the Role

The Restoring Cildhood Model (RCM) has been funded by the Victorian Government providing therapeutic services to children and young people impacted by family violence. Grounded in evidence informed practice, the RCM will involve specialist intake & triage, supported referrals and secondary consultations and medium term counselling.

We provide trauma-informed therapeutic care for victim survivor families.

Key responsibilities

The Senior Clinician will:

  • Carry a case load of clients who are at various stages of the stepped care model, such as assessment, treatment and closure. Therapeutic work can range from short to long term.
  • Provide psychoeducation in relation to infant mental health. 
  • Provide high quality dyadic and child focused parenting clinical interventions to infants, children, and caregivers who have experienced family violence.
  • Provide counselling and therapeutic support services to a smaller number of adult victim survivors of Family Violence.
  • Provision of supervision of and consultation with Clinicians in the team

 About You

  • You will have a Bachelor degree level or higher qualification in a Health or Welfare related field such as Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Social Work, Family Therapy, Speech Pathology or related discipline. 
  • You will be an experienced Senior Clinician with experience conducting clinical work with children as well as post graduate training in a relevant field.
  • You will have a strong understanding of the complexity of child protection and family violence service systems and the issues involved in providing services to our clients.
  • You will have experience in providing clinical supervision to clinical staff supporting infants, children and families.
