ABOUT THE ROYAL CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL FOUNDATION
Founded in 1989, The Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH) Foundation is the fundraising arm of the RCH, one of the world’s leading children’s hospitals. The RCH Foundation has the vital role of raising and distributing donated funds to the hospital, enabling the very best patient and family care and support, and saving and improving the lives of our sickest children.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As part of a small but high-performing Communications Team, the Senior Communications Coordinator will work across both internal and external communications and will be a key driver in the delivery of the RCH Foundation’s 2030 strategy.
With a focus on writing, reviewing and revising communications touchpoints, platforms and content to reach donors at every point of their journey, this role delivers outstanding communications for our wide network of donors and fundraisers. From identifying story hooks and angles for the Good Friday Appeal and annual reports, through to developing case studies which highlight the impact of community and donor giving, this role spans the full gamut of communications, capturing the stories and content required to increase giving for one of Australia’s most recognised and loved public institutions – the RCH.
ABOUT YOU
- A natural-born storyteller, you love identifying new story and content angles to reach new audiences, and the idea of interviewing patients and clinicians at one of the world’s leading paediatric hospitals to motivate giving aligns with your values
- You are known for your creativity and initiative, and you bring this to everything you do – your copy, content, thinking and ways of working
- A strategic thinker, you love seeing the bigger picture, planning long term, and are passionate about leading people on this journey
- You thrive on developing fast-paced newsroom content just as much as you enjoy longer-form reporting
- You excel at writing for different audiences across different platforms, and you enjoy keeping across trends and styles to ensure your work is relevant
- You have an eye for detail and are highly proficient in proofing and editing.
