About the Position

 

The Heller Fundraising Group is looking for a Senior Consultant
to join our team. The position requires an experienced fundraising
professional with a track record of success in work with major
donors and capital campaigns in the nonprofit sector. Reporting to
the Consulting Services Director, the Senior Consultant will work
closely with our current leadership to manage client engagements,
including Campaigns, Feasibility Studies, and more. The ideal
candidate has held senior level staff positions. Consulting
experience is a plus, but not required.

 

Working primarily from home, they will have the opportunity to
work on dynamic projects while maintaining a healthy work-life
balance. This position includes significant opportunities to grow
with the Heller Fundraising Group as we continue to expand our
client base.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Directly manage 4-5 Campaigns and/or Feasibility Studies,
    working collaboratively with our clients;
  • Supervise 1-2 client engagements managed by Heller Group
    Collaborating Consultant Project Leaders;
  • Participate in business development, marketing, and sales;
  • Represent the Heller Fundraising Group through networking;
  • Provide education to nonprofit leaders via training, using
    company tools and expertise.

 

 

Candidate Requirements

 

  • Possess a strong combination of strategic and creative brain
    power that does not shy away from the challenges, risks, and
    rewards;
  • Proven ability to be entrepreneurial and self-motivated;
  • Demonstrated success in securing significant major gifts;
  • A solid understanding of capital campaigns, and a proven
    ability to inspire others in building strong and productive
    nonprofit relationships;
  • A project management style based on open, solution-oriented,
    and inclusive decision-making;
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication
    skills;
  • Enthusiastic about team collaboration and working
    remotely;
  • Managerial experience preferred;
  • Experience with non-campaign aspects of fundraising is a
    plus;
  • A minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in
    nonprofit major gift fundraising and campaigns is required;
  • Bachelor’s degree at minimum;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, facility with
    current business management software and relational databases.

Compensation

Starting salary of $115,000 – $150,000 annually, commensurate
with experience. The Heller Fundraising Group provides generous
contributions toward health and dental insurance, paid vacation
time and sick time, 10 paid holidays, a 401k program with employer
contribution, and additional benefits.

 

Location

The position will be primarily remote. We are, however,
committed to in-person meetings throughout the year and meeting
in-person with clients when possible. Candidates must live in or
have easy access to the NYC area.
