If you’re ready to do the most ambitious work of your career, join us.About the teamAirwallex’s global Product Legal Team works cross-functionally and across multiple jurisdictions to develop and execute legal strategies that facilitate expansion into new markets and sustainable growth of Airwallex’s partnerships infrastructure and operations worldwide. The team is responsible maintaining and deploying new partnership agreements to enable our expanding product suite and geographic coverage, and for putting in place robust legal measures and programs.What you’ll doAs Senior Counsel, Product Partnership you will be a valuable member of the global Product Legal team and will help our rapidly growing business navigate an increasingly complex regulatory landscape. Although you will be based in The UK, you will have multi-regional responsibility by supporting our product and partnership strategy and advising on complex technology transactions in EMEA, The Americas and APAC. You will also be responsible for ensuring we are compliant with our licensing and other regulatory requirements by implementing appropriate measures and controls. This dynamic role is ideal for someone who enjoys wearing multiple hats and solving complex issues for our internal and external partners, is detail oriented, willing to take on challenges and changes, obsessively curious and intellectually honest, thrives on taking actions and delivering impactful results, and aims to inspire and be inspired.Responsibilities:Coordinate with local counsel across jurisdictions such as Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong, The U.S., The UK., and The European Union to discern and devise optimal paths to market from a legal and regulatory perspectiveProvide advice and support to the product team, local legal teams, support functions, Airwallex management, and the Legal, Risk, and Compliance Department.Review and update manuals, policies and procedures to ensure compliance with laws and regulations in the regions in which Airwallex operatesLiaise with senior stakeholders of the Airwallex group, located around the world.Manage external counsel and consultants on regulatory matters.Develop and manage Airwallex’s regulatory submissions and filings, and report on regulatory requirements internally and in regulatory filingsNegotiate complex and novel agreements with our strategic and banking partnersSupport government relations outreach to legislators and regulatory agenciesWho you areWe’re looking for people who meet the minimum requirements for this role. The preferred qualifications are great to have, but are not mandatory.Minimum qualifications:8+ years of post-qualification experienceStrong regulatory experience gained in the fintech industry, reputable law firms or financial institutionsStrong stakeholder management skills and ability to deal with a range of internal and external stakeholdersProactive, results-driven, and take ownership of your work.Ability to multi-task and a team player with strong communication skillsStrong drafting skillsPreferred qualifications:Experience working with stakeholders across the globeEqual opportunityAirwallex is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
