Summary of Job Duties:
The Senior Data Analyst performs research work in the area of biomedical signal processing of maternal fetal monitoring. UAMS has the world’s first of its kind magnetoencephalography system adapted to maternal-fetal monitoring. The Senior Data Analyst, will work closely with OB/GYN faculty and other graduate students to improve signal processing methods for the data obtained from the SARA system. The Senior Data Analyst develops new study protocols, perform data analysis and develop new analytical approaches and will assist in writing grant proposals and research related publications. Will collaborate with graduate students and member of the SARA-team and internal and external collaborators.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
Education, general:
Masters plus 3 years’ experience or PhD in engineering, bioinformatics, physics, computer science, applied mathematics, or related field plus 1 year experience
Ten or more years in time signals analysis of electrophysiological signals.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Programming in MATLAB signal analysis software.
- Excellent knowledge of signal analysis and modeling.
Additional Information:
Responsibilities:
Research Design, analyze research studies, maintain research database, evaluation, statistical analysis.
- Perform data analysis and develop new analytical approaches.
- Collaborate with graduate students and member of the SARA-team and collaborators
- Assist in the design and methods for submitting pilot research grants and extramural funding sources including NIH.
- Work closely with clinical faculty in planning new research related projects.
- Assist in writing papers, reports and research administrative tasks.
- Prepare and co-author manuscripts for submission.
- Other duties as assigned
