The ideal candidate will have excellent Oracle SQL / PLSQL, skills. The candidate must demonstrate the experience and desire to become a core member of the development team and play a key role in the success of the project.ResponsibilitiesThis is an 100% hands-on role PL/SQL developer role working in an Agile environmentFocus on the continued build-out of the firm’s strategic Global Asset Servicing platformAdd new features as defined in the requirements document published by the product owner or business analyst.Enhance and maintain existing product, working to the company’s development standards.Mentor and train other members of the development team.Fix defects found by the Quality Assurance (QA) department. Fix critical defects found by client.Quality check and code review other team members’ code and specifications prior to release.Provide internal and external development support.Opportunity to work closely with technical and business partners across the globe.Responsible for application design, development and delivery and post-production support.Work will be focused on the following technology stack:– Oracle 12c – SQL / PLSQL, XMLDB, Advanced Queues– ReactJS– Apache CAMEL / JavaBasic Skill Level RequirementsEducation:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related fieldExperience:At least 6 years of application development experience working with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL.Experience in writing complex queries, procedures, packages, functions in Oracle. Desired candidate should be highly proficient in Oracle PL/SQL.Oracle 19c, PL/SQL, XMLDB, Advanced Queue, Database design, SQL performance tuning and code optimizationHands on experience of Oracle based tools i.e. Toad/SQL DeveloperAbility to turn business requirements into technical stories.An Agile practitioner; Scrum, TDD, User Stories, Specification by example etc.Experience of working in geographically distributed and culturally diverse work-groups with strong team play and collaborative skillsExperience with projects in multiple technologies and functions.Excellent written and verbal communication skillsProven experience in building scalable and robust applicationsSkills:Oracle 19c – SQL / PLSQL, XMLDB, Advanced QueuesJava / Apache CAMEL (desirable)ReactJS (desirable)Tools:Hands on experience of Oracle based tools i.e. Toad/SQL DeveloperSource control tools – GIT or similarJIRAPersonal Attributes:The ideal candidate will be highly energetic, and delivery focused, with the ability to deliver quality results with a challenging, but positive and influential style.
