Senior Director of Operations and Compliance, Philippines Biodiversity and Resilience Activity
ACDI/VOCA is seeking a Senior Director of Operations and Compliance for an upcoming Biodiversity and Resilience Activity in the Philippines funded by USAID. The anticipated program will address biodiversity loss and climate change in the Philippines by improving the enabling environment, strengthening key institutions, and leveraging private sector investments for nature-based conservation, adaptation, and mitigation.
The Senior Director of Operations and Compliance will support the COP in all operational and management aspects of the project. They will ensure efficient, cost-effective, and compliant delivery of project interventions. The program is anticipated to start in 2025 and this position will be based in the Philippines.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the operations team to ensure efficient and effective implementation of biodiversity and resilience projects
- Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, national, and international regulations
- Collaborate with program directors to align operational strategies with program goals
- Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the operations team
- Represent ACDI/VOCA in meetings with stakeholders, partners, and regulatory bodies
- Manage risk assessment and mitigation strategies
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, accounting, public administration, or relevant field is required; master’s degree is desired.
- Minimum 8 years of experience ensuring compliance with donor requirements, including grants management.
- Demonstrated experience in financial management and compliance.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working in the Philippines country preferred.
- Fluency in English is required.
