EMEC Ecology are looking for an experienced SENIOR ECOLOGIST

Let’s be totally honest, not all ecological consultancies are the same. As a commercial
subsidiary of Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust, we have the conservation and restoration of
nature at our heart and ALL of our profits are gift-aided to the Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust
to support conservation directly on the ground. When delivering our clients’ projects and
objectives, we look for biodiversity net-gain wherever possible and through our ecology and
land management services we deliver innovative solutions to benefit habitats and species.

The role

Initially you will work primarily with one of EMEC’s most significant clients, completing an
innovative regional biodiversity project for a national infrastructure provider to deliver
large-scale biodiversity improvements across their estate.

You will be an ecological lead for a section of the project and collaborate with a varied team
of ecologists including senior industry leaders, to ensure the best ecological practice is
incorporated into our clients new biodiversity processes.

Your knowledge and expertise will be utilised to produce Biodiversity Action Plans and Habitat
Management Plans, creating a framework for long-term Biodiversity Net Gain at a regional scale.

As there will be travel required to our other sites and the Eastern region, a full, clean
driving licence is essential.
