This is a secondment opportunity and t his role is available to current employees at the University of Leeds only.
Salary: Grade 6 (£30,487 – £36,024 p.a. depending upon experience)
This role will be based on the university campus, with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements.

The Educational Engagement Service works with schools and colleges across the UK, to raise awareness of, and aspirations towards higher education. As part of the Education Outreach Team you will lead on, and support, our co-ordinated and focused approach to outreach which involves: developing and delivering a range of on-campus events; creating and presenting online activities; travelling across the country to deliver talks and workshops in schools and attending Higher Education fairs.
Working within the Education Outreach team, but also part of a wider network of staff across the University, you will represent Leeds at Higher Education conventions, and visit schools and colleges to ensure that learners, teachers, careers advisers and parents understand the benefits of studying at Leeds, our courses and the progression routes available.
You will deliver a range of presentations and workshops to support progression to Leeds, and higher education more generally, and will evaluate and report on these activities to support and inform the University’s recruitment and widening participation objectives. You will also be responsible for coordinating the Educational Engagement Student Ambassador programme; supporting the recruitment, training, monitoring and management of our student workers.
You should be highly organised and able to meet changing deadlines in a dynamic work environment. Effective networking skills and an ability to build and sustain productive working relationships both internally and externally is essential to the role.
You will be required to travel across the country and will be expected to undertake evening, weekend work and overnight stays when necessary.
