About Us: Join the dynamic and innovative Partnership and Engagement Team within the School of Education, which is responsible for identifying, establishing, and managing key education partnerships, engagement activities, events and programs that align with the School’s strategic priorities and performance targets.

The Role: The Senior Engagement Officer plays a crucial role in supporting the team’s objectives. Working collaboratively with colleagues, the role coordinates the design of both print and digital resources, ensuring a visually compelling and cohesive representation of initiatives. Additionally, the role provides broader operational support to the team, contributing to Web CMS and SharePoint activities for online updates.  The Senior Engagement Officer directly impacts the School’s online presence, ensuring it remains current, accurate, and of high quality.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate graphic design for print and digital materials.
  • Provide operational support to the Partnership and Engagement Team
  • Assist with Web CMS and SharePoint activities for online updates.
  • Ensure the School’s online presence is current, accurate, and of high quality.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in graphic design for both print and digital media
  • Proficiency in Web CMS and SharePoint
  • Commitment to operating flexibly and collaboratively in a small team.
  • Willingness to work across all metropolitan campuses. 
  • Occasional availability for out-of-hours work related to external events.

Qualifications and Experience 

  • Qualifications: Ideally a tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline [ e.g. Fine Arts, Design] and subsequent experience OR equivalent level of expertise gained from a combination of experience, training, or professional accreditation. 
  • Well-developed skills and previous experience in Graphic Design 
  • Experience and well-developed technical capability in the management and maintenance of a CMS website 
  • Experience developing and implementing online communication plans. 
  • Proficient in current online web publishing standards; and experience of Search Engine Optimisation, CMS platforms, Google Analytics, Microsoft 365, and Adobe Creative Cloud or similar. 
  • Previous experience preparing newsletters, web content, and various forms of online/written communication in a professional and grammatically correct format to meet the literacy requirements of a diverse audience
  • You will also demonstrate personal attributes congruent with the University’s values of Integrity, Respect, Rational Inquiry, Personal Excellence and Courage.

    Benefits & Remuneration
    This full-time ongoing position attracts a remuneration of $78,854 plus 17% University superannuation contribution.
