Job Summary

Manages a portfolio of facilities and workplace related projects and their associated budgets. Coordinates the work of staff, contractual and vendor employees to ensure service delivery and adherence with Fund standards while promoting and maintaining the efficient utilization of the Fund’s space and assets.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

Develops and manages work plans to address issues and solve problems. Works closely with peers across the different sections and departments to build relationships to ensure that service delivery is integrated, seamlessly, cost effectively, and delivered in a timely manner.

Prepares and monitors annual work plans to include identification of customer requirements, service delivery methods, budgets, resource allocations, and key performance indicators.

Coordinates with staff and service providers to communicate facilities and workplace business requirements. Directs multiple design, construction, and renovation projects to ensure that schedules, budgets, and commitments are delivered on, and recommendations and decisions are based on sound data analysis.

Manages the acquisition of building systems, components, and ancillary services, and evaluates their effectiveness in meeting the needs of the Fund. Develops statements of work, evaluates service proposals and leads negotiations of agreements and contracts in collaboration with Procurement. Manages outsourced contract services and budgets in accordance with work scope and assignments.

Reviews existing procedures to identify opportunities to improve services.

Minimum Qualifications

Master’s degree, supplemented by a minimum of four years of professional experience in Real Estate, Facilities, Hospitality or Design and Construction field, or equivalent; or a bachelor’s degree, supplemented by a minimum of ten years of relevant professional experience in Real Estate, Facilities, Hospitality or Design and Construction field. In the alternative, a minimum of two years of experience in a related position at Grade A10, or equivalent, is required.

 

 

A regular staff member who is selected to fill the vacancy will maintain their open-ended status. If the selected candidate is a contractual employee, they will be offered a Term staff appointment. Staff members already on a term appointment will continue their current term but may receive an extension provided that their current term appointment has not already been extended.
This vacancy shall be filled by a 3-year Term appointment in accordance with the Fund’s new employment rules that took effect on May 1, 2015.
