What you’ll do

As an experienced mediator and Senior Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner, you will lead and supervise our frontline team while offering crucial support to the team leader and centre manager. Your role will be situated between the Team leader and the frontline practice staff, and you’ll be expected to:

  • Lead as a Mediator: Deliver exceptional services to families experiencing post-separation conflict, assisting them in reaching agreements on parenting arrangements and resolving financial and property-related issues
  • Facilitate Clinical Supervision: Conduct clinical supervision and competency assessments for nominated supervisees, ensuring the highest standards of practice
  • Support Program Effectiveness: Work closely with the Team Leader to enhance the effectiveness and continual improvement of the FRC program
  • Provide Leadership and Direction: Assist the team with various inquiries, offering guidance and leadership as needed to ensure smooth operations and exceptional service delivery

The details

  • Permanent part-time or full-time, 4 – 5 days a week
  • Potential to work from home 1 day a week
  • Based at Macquarie Park

What you’ll bring

  • Registration with the Australian Government Attorney General’s Department Register of Family Dispute Resolution Practitioners is essential
  • Minimum 3 – 5 years working as a mediator, working with families in a post separation context
  • Demonstrated leadership ability with clinical supervisor experience highly desirable
  • Team player attitude, with the ability to motivate and empower peers and junior staff
  • Demonstrated high level skills in family dispute resolution, including assessments and mediation interventions
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a child focused approach in family dispute resolution
  • Strong understanding of relationship dynamics, domestic and family violence, child safety, trauma informed practice, diversity awareness and mental health and wellbeing
