- 1x maximum term position up to 30 January 2026 (part-time applications considered)
- 1x full-time / part-time role is a parental leave replacement position up to May 2025
- Salary range: $98,902 – $123,624 (pro rata) plus super plus salary packaging
- Up to $15,900 in salary packaging and hybrid WFH & office model
About the role
As a key member of our team, you will deliver high-quality legal services, including pre-court engagement, duty lawyer services, casework, and representation in family law and family violence intervention order matters. You will provide outreach legal advice to clients at the Orange Door Bayside and Anglicare. This role involves mentoring junior lawyers and appearing in the Federal Circuit and Family Court providing Family Advocacy and Support Services (FASS). Regular travel within the Peninsula region is required to effectively serve our clients.
This role is based at our Frankston office on Bunurong Country.
About you
As our ideal candidate, you will possess:
- Knowledge of relevant laws and court procedures, with a focus on family law, family violence, and child protection.
- High-level ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with clients and stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to build strategic relationships and work collaboratively with stakeholders.
- Proven experience in supervision and mentoring of junior staff.
- A current Australian practising certificate which entitles you to practise in Victoria as a government legal practitioner (mandatory).
