The Office of Financial Aid is in search of a Senior Financial Aid Assistant to join their amazing team! 

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Resolves routine and non-routine customer issues and concerns and determines if management intervention is needed.
  • May assign work to staff, in consultation with supervisors, in addition to providing input in performance evaluations and the management of teams.
  • Answers and directs incoming calls to the Financial Aid Office.
  • Serves as the first point of contact to clients and other visitors.
  • Provides assistance to customers regarding data requirements and the status of paperwork.
  • Monitors day-to-day operations, including communications generated from a variety of sources, (e-mail, phone calls and counter walk-ins, etc.).
  • Answers questions and resolves conflicts/issues that may arise internally or through responding to an external communication.
  • Ensures policies and objectives are executed in a professional, responsible, sensitive and positive manner.
  • Reconciles reports and schedules output distribution.
  • Ensures the receipt, sorting and appropriate distribution of work.
  • Develops, updates and administers training with team members and student assistants.
  • Accesses a variety of computer information systems and databases to retrieve, verify and enter data.
  • Reviews data from completed forms or other documents for accuracy and completeness.
  • Reviews audit reports and resolves errors to ensure integrity of data.
  • Maintains files and records.
  • Performs related responsibilities as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent and three years of customer service and/or data entry experience.
  • Knowledge of PeopleSoft and relevant software applications preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

NOTE: This role will be granted the opportunity to work from home regularly but must be able to commute to Emory University on a flexible weekly schedule based upon business needs Schedule is based on agreed upon guidelines of department. This role requires residency in the state of GA. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
