Job Summary:
\n
Join our team to provide project engineering support for Fire Services projects from design through to completion. Engage in tendering, design, installation, testing, and commissioning phases.
\n
Key Responsibilities:
\n
\n * Conduct Fire Services design reviews, ensuring compliance and identifying potential issues.
- Adhere to HSE best practices at all times.
- Ensure design risk assessments align with installation parameters.
- Deliver engineered solutions that meet client expectations, project restrictions, and budget considerations.
- Manage design registers, meeting minutes, drawing registers, and formal communications (RFI’s, TQ’s, EWN’s, MAR’s).
- Develop scope documents for tenders and procurement processes.
- Collaborate with manufacturers and attend FAT, SAT, and other necessary stages to ensure compliance.
- Work directly with installation teams to ensure design suitability and resolve installation issues.
- Coordinate with commercial and planning departments to track design changes and maintain project schedules.
- Manage subcontractor works, supporting the commercial department in valuations and contracts.
- Ensure compliance with VVB and client quality management systems.
- Stay updated on Fire Services legislation, standards, and best practices.
- Maintain LPS1014 F353 Form information to required standards.

Line Management Duties:

\n * Oversee the team’s time and resource allocation.
- Manage the development and progression of Assistant/Junior Fire Engineers.
\n
Technical Knowledge and Skills:
\n
\n * Strong understanding of design processes and compliance requirements.
- Familiarity with the BRE Global Audit process.
\n
Qualifications:
\n
\n * BS-5839-1 Fundamentals in FD&A Units 1 & 2
- BS-5839-1 Fundamentals to Advanced course
- CSCS Card
- Full UK Driver’s License
- BS-5839-1 Advanced Designer (desired)
\n

- Ability to mentor apprentices, graduates, and electrical engineers (Desired)

\n * Previous experience with an accredited Fire Services contractor

\n * Audit experience with LPCB / BRE Global
- Experience in infrastructure environments (Rail etc.)
