Grow here.Are you a Senior Human Factors specialist looking to work in a growing team across a variety of projects and multiple sectors that can change the world, projects that are always more complex and innovative than the last?If so, we are looking for an experienced Human Factors specialist to join our team. We are a team with a geographical spread across the UK and embrace the hybrid way of working. You will be joining a team of like-minded experts that have a passion for innovation and delivering cutting edge solutions.Our Human Excellence team in AECOM encompasses all things human! This includes Human Factors and behaviour change capabilities. Providing the whole package of understanding how people interact, with the insight into why they do what they do and using this intelligence to deliver sustainable and innovative solutions.The Human Factors element of our team is growing with many projects in the defence, rail, aviation, and international sectors. We are seeking a Human Factors specialist to join our team to help the delivery of the existing human factor work, delivering human factor aspects and to help the Human Excellence Director to continue to grow the human factors element.Flexible on locations across the UKWe are seeking a passionate individual who will:
- Manage existing human factor projects and liaison across the business with PMs and PDs
- Provide support to Head of Human Excellence in the securement of future human factor projects.
- Deliver technical human factor workload.
- Support targeted support in developing human factor opportunities.
- Act as CRE or Lead Verifier when required.
Current & Upcoming Projects:
- Several rail projects including sign/signal workload assessments and station design.
- Large sensitive nuclear project.
- Baggage Handling system – International Airport.
Here’s what you’ll do:
- Deliver: Support on projects within multiple sectors, with the opportunity to work on international projects
- Oversee: You will be responsible for the delivery of human factor technical aspects. In addition, you will be required to attend multi discipline and client meetings provide SQEP capability.
- Provide Expertise: Offer technical knowledge and expertise to the team/clients on all aspects of Human Factor projects.
- Ensure Quality: Working through the complexities of our Human Factor projects, you will hold our clients’ hands and overcome problems in unison when they inevitably arise.
- Collaborate: Working with a growing team comprising SQEP and non SQEP personnel and supported by contractors. Will be required to engaged daily with multiple disciplines and client providing Human Factor advise and support across multiple projects.

- Relevant degree or professional qualification in Human Factors.
- Work experience within a similar consultancy or other relevant business.
- Human Factors experience in the rail, aviation, defence, or nuclear sector.
