Job Title: Senior Human Resources Associate
Department/Location: Vienna, VA
Reports To: Senior International Human Resources Manager
Type: Regular Full-Time

Overview: The Senior Human Resources Associate is responsible for excellent customer service with employment agreements, onboarding and offboarding, assisting with HR compliance, assisting with performance management, and other HR activities. The position focuses on both U.S. and international HR customer service. The position requires a learning mindset, attention to details, and a strong work ethic.
This position is based in IBTCI’s home office located in Vienna, VA (currently in Hybrid mode, going to office twice a week).
Responsibilities
Essential Duties/Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent HR customer service to all stakeholders; proactive solution provider.
- Coordinate and implement all aspects of US, international and local employment agreements; execute employment agreements and amendments. Communicate changes to stakeholders and to Payroll
- Coordinate and execute onboarding and offboarding of all staff.
- Prepare employment closeout for local employees including the preparation of separation letters, certificates of service, etc.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with all company policies and state/federal regulations.
- Assist with the performance management program; manage the probationary performance review for local staff.
- Maintain all personnel files; ensure documentation is in compliance with applicable labor laws and company policies.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 2 years of professional work experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
- Proven ability to be well-organized, have attention to detail and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Flexibility and adaptability required.
- Full proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint required.
- Proficiency in both spoken and written English is mandatory, with fluency in an additional language such as Arabic being advantageous.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, business administration or related field.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of the HR function and the ability to understand critical needs of the organization.
- Strong understanding of the compliance needs of US regulatory agencies.
- Ability to meet critical deadlines.
- Experience with HR information systems
- Previous experience with organizing and succeeding a fast-paced office.
- Advanced reporting, writing and research skills.
- Ability to effectively collect, synthesize and present information from diverse sources.
- Knowledge of diverse cultures and cultural sensitivity
- Prior work experience in International Development is a plus.
Working Environment: Work is typically performed in an office environment.
Physical Requirements: This is largely a sedentary position that requires the ability to speak, hear, see, and lift small objects up to 20 lbs.
Supervisory Responsibility: This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Travel: Domestic travel may be required.
Work Authorization: Candidate must be authorized to work in the USA. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
