Senior Institutional Fundraising Coordinator
(The Hague, 32-38 hours per week)
Purpose of the job
As our new Senior Institutional Fundraising Coordinator, you have strategic impact by securing funding for our mission of combatting TB and improving global health outcomes. Together with our Fundraising and Partnership Officer you identify and create funding opportunities. You initiate and manage successful partnerships with institutional donors, such as USAID, the Global Fund, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Unitaid, and the European & Developing Countries Clinical Trials Partnership (EDCTP). You report directly to the Executive Director and manage the Fundraising and Partnership Officer.
In this strategic position you are responsible for:
- Contributing to the overall KNCV strategic planning and organizational development;
- Developing and implementing our institutional fundraising strategy;
- Identifying new funding opportunities and staying updated on donor priorities, funding trends, and relevant policy developments;
- Identifying and cultivating relationships with global institutional donors, and with donors from the global south to secure funding opportunities;
- Managing donor relationships and ensuring donor expectations are exceeded;
- Leading the grant proposal development process from inception to submission;
- Collaborating with colleagues from our TB Elimination and Health System Innovation Division to gather necessary information and developing compelling proposals and grant applications;
- Working with finance, operation, and communication teams to ensure accurate budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance;
- Representing KNCV at relevant conferences, meetings, and networking events to promote our work and engage with (potential) donors and partners;
- Monitoring and evaluating fundraising activities, tracking proposal submissions, and preparing reports for senior management and board members.
Your profile
Are you ready to join our mission to end TB? Becoming successful in this strategic position means you:
- Have an advanced degree, senior institutional fundraising experience in the health sector, preferably with a focus on TB or infectious diseases;
- Have a track record of successfully securing funding from donors such as USAID, the Global Fund, the Gates Foundation, Unitaid and EDCTP;
- Are experienced managing donor priorities, funding mechanisms, and compliance requirements;
- Are a strategic thinker and able to develop and execute fundraising strategies to achieve ambitious targets;
- Are highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously;
- Are able to work collaboratively across teams and with diverse stakeholders, both internally and externally;
- Posses excellent writing and communication skills and able to articulate complex concepts and programmatic impact effectively;
- Have an excellent command of English; command of Dutch is an added benefit, but not required;
- Are willing and able to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
