The Joint, Office of the Secretary of Defense, Interagency Division provides expert support services to a range of customers spanning across the Department of Defense, Federal Civilian, and international markets. JOID provides a diverse portfolio of analytical and programmatic capabilities to help our customers make informed decisions on their most challenging issues.

 

The Industry and Security Analysis Group (ISAG) within JOID provides analytical, technical, and program support to promote, grow, and protect the U.S. industrial base. ISAG’s support spans the Department of Defense (DOD), Department of Commerce, and other agencies to deliver critical decision support to national security leaders. Our team informs policy decisions, enables execution of comprehensive strategies and monitors and reports on the effectiveness of implementation. This enables senior leaders to execute strategies for developing and sustaining a robust industrial base that meets our nation’s strategic resource objectives. From policy to practice, we are a team of economic and national security professionals providing innovative solutions for our Nation’s most pressing security challenges.

 

We have an immediate need for a Senior Intelligence Analyst to provide onsite support in Arlington, VA.

Responsibilities

The Analyst will execute enterprise integration within the team and with the team’s external partners in the DoD and interagency. The analyst will identify where and how the team can better monitor intra-team workflows and improve how the team tracks information and engagements, and communicates expectations to mission partners outside of the team. Analyze highly technical information and translate it to stakeholders and policy makers through technical analytic products. Will manage reporting to the onsite team leader and program manager.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree with 10 years OR Master’s degree with 8 years of experience
• Focus area or course work on National Security, Economics, Business, Finance, or International Relations
• Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility
• Experience developing methodologies and conducting assessments that communicate risk and risk-mitigation measures to industry or U.S. government agencies
• Experience presenting and communicating the results of analysis to project senior U.S. government leadership.

Desired:

• Juris Doctor or Master’s degree in National Security, Economics, Finance, Business, or International Relations
• 5+ years of DoD work experience supporting intelligence and/or national security issues
• Experience analyzing intelligence related to security and/or critical technology areas
• Experience interfacing with the Intelligence Community and other Federal agencies
• Experience developing analysis briefings, technical reports, and DoD Executive Memos
