About the Role
As the Senior Learning Designer, you will lead the design and development of new and revitalised subjects as part of Teaching and Learning Innovation (TLI) support offerings. By cultivating positive team and stakeholder relationships you’ll drive innovation in pedagogy and assessment, championing best practices and enhancing University-wide capabilities.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading collaborative codesign with teaching staff, learning specialists, and subject matter experts to develop coherent, engaging, and high-quality online and blended subjects.
- Driving faculty engagement through collaborative partnerships with designated faculties to pinpoint impactful projects, advancing teaching and learning.
- Aligning with stakeholders on selected initiatives, overseeing project execution, and spearheading continuous improvement efforts for enhanced educational quality.
- Creating, delivering, and maintaining support materials, learning design frameworks, workshops, and staff development activities to enhance teaching, learning, and assessment with technology-enhanced learning (TEL) while boosting flexibility and capability.
Who we are looking for
We seek an experienced Learning Designer with robust leadership skills, adept at orchestrating cross-functional teams amid dynamic organisational change. Your strengths include outstanding stakeholder management, and fostering successful partnerships with senior stakeholders for scalable success. Your highly organised, detail-oriented approach, coupled with a strong work ethic, reflects a commitment to continuous improvement and creative problem-solving within established timelines. You will also have:
- Equivalent combination of degree and experience or extensive specialist expertise.
- Extensive hands-on experience creating and implementing effective educational design frameworks to enhance learning, teaching, and assessment experiences.
- Significant experience in crafting online/face-to-face professional development and facilitating learning activities for effective use of digital technologies, assessments, and learning design.
- Skillful in co-designing and interpreting client requirements for the optimal student experience, contributing to the design, development, and building of learning assets, activities, assessments, or entire subjects.
