An excellent senior legal counsel opportunity has been opened up at a large and well known global brand in the manufacturing/retail sector in Newcastle. This is a broad commercial contracts role with a wide variety of work, and it’s a role that due to the size of the wider team gives more responsibility and career progression than most in the North East in-house legal market.This is a job which is going suit a Solicitor with commercial experience and anywhere from 4 years+ of excellent in-house exposure, or with quality commercial contracts experience in a large law firm. It would suit a legal counsel seeking a step up and to take responsibility for a couple of direct reports, and will help in your journey to get to head of legal level in time (if that’s what you fancy doing!)The salary and package will be competitive and they are open-minded on this (within reason!) for the right experience and most importantly person.
