Context/Reporting line:
Under the overall supervision the Head, Mobility Pathways and Inclusion Division, the administrative supervision of the Head of Office (HoSO) and the direct supervision of the National Programme Officer (MM/IGB), the Senior Liaison and Project Associate (IBG) will provide specialized programme support and functional coordination between IOM, Ministry of Interior (MOI) and other government partners to support coherent implementation of IBG programme activities, enhanced information sharing, and achievement of programme objectives.
Core Functions / Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning, coordination, implementation and monitoring of IBG programme activities in coordination with MOI counterparts.
- Serve as a liaison focal point between IOM programme team and MOI counterparts and other relevant law enforcement authorities.
- Organize programme related meetings, workshops, events and training sessions; prepare meeting/training materials and facilitate smooth delivery of these meetings and events.
- Carry out and coordinate logistical arrangements, including travel planning for programme missions, coordination with field offices.
- Closely liaise with the Supply Chain Unit to ensure timely procurement of planned items/services within the IBG projects.
- Prepare clear, accurate, and timely project updates, identify shortfalls in delivery, bring them to the attention of the National Programme Officer and suggest corrective measures.
- Draft correspondence on project issues, narrative reports, briefing notes, minutes of the meetings, statistical tables, and other forms of documentation in English and Arabic.
- Support the drafting and consolidation of programme documents including concept notes, TORs, SOPs, workplans, and M&E tracking.
- Respond to complex information requests and inquiries on legal, technical and operational dimensions of the IBG projects.
- Provide inputs into programme reviews and evaluations and document lessons learned and best practices.
- Maintain effective liaison and coordination with local authorities, partners, United Nations agencies, intergovernmental and non-governmental organizations, donors and other stakeholders relevant to the projects.
- Travel inside Iraq for project related meetings, assessment visits, and trainings.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
