As a Senior Management Accountant to the Retail network, Corporate Partnership and Philanthropic teams you will play an important role helping your stakeholders maximise their revenue for the Save the Children mission. You will support critical decision-making by analysing and presenting key financial data, preparing forecasts, budgets and risk analyses, and courageously challenging to drive the best outcomes. You are a strategist and a decision maker that will contribute to the growth and long-term success of Save the Children Australia.

In this full-time, maximum term role (for 12 months), you’ll work as a part of Commercial Finance team within the Finance department in either Melbourne or Brisbane, to help us create lasting change for children everywhere. Senior Management Accountant – Supporter Engagement plays an important role in delivering on our vision of a better world for children. Reporting to our Head of Finance, whether it’s working in a business partnering role or supporting your stakeholders to understand their financial performance and ensuring we plan accurately for the future, you’ll be contributing to our commitment to children in Australia, the Pacific and around the world.
You will make a difference by:
- Supporting your stakeholders and their financial management, through accurate month end closes, insightful financial & business performance reporting, and future pipeline tracking & analysis
- Taking a lead with your stakeholders through our Budget and Forecasting processes
- Providing business modelling that supports key strategic decision making for the organisation
- Confidently challenging and influencing for the best outcomes
- Adopting a continuous improvement mindset, and delivering value through efficiency improvements
- Working well under pressure and to tight timelines

Your deep expertise as an experienced Management Accountant who has a track record of business partnering senior leaders in fast-paced and complex environments is invaluable. You show a willingness to be a team player both within Finance and for your stakeholders, have an ability to take ownership of tasks and processes for the portfolio(s) you support, and are able to connect financial performance to business decisions. - 6-10 years of experience working in similar roles
- An analytical mindset, extracting insightful information from our data
- Proven ability to develop relationships and support senior stakeholders within the organisation
- An ability to challenge and hold others to account
- Strong excel skills, including advanced formulae (macro and coding knowledge would be viewed favourably)
